Beyond Intractability: A Free Knowledge Base on More Constructive Approaches to Destructive Conflict

Make Comments / Write New Materials

We would very much like users of the system to help us improve it. Click here to e-mail us.

The Easy Way

The easy way is to simply send us comments and suggestions from any of the system's easily accessible "comment" links.

  • If we've made a mistake, let us know and we'll fix it.
  • If you disagree with something, send us a constructive critique and we'll post it as a comment.
  • If you know of a good "additional resource" (book, article, website, audio or videotape, or teaching material) that you think we should have in the system, let us know about it and which essay topic(s) it relates to.
  • Finally, we'd be interested in hearing about anything you found to be especially useful or interesting.

The Harder (But More Rewarding) Way

If you would like to contribute

  • an article on a different topic,
  • or an example (story) that shows how these (or other conflict resolution or peacebuilding ideas) have worked "on the ground,"

write us about your idea, or just send us the article. Each submission will be peer reviewed, and all useful ones will be added to the Knowledge Base. Unlike a quarterly journal, we do not have space limitations. Still, this is not an open forum for everything and anything. We are looking for new ideas about how to confront difficult conflicts more constructively.

Especially Encouraged

We especially encourage submissions from outside the United States and from communities that may be under-represented in the original set of authors. We are eager to incorporate stories — both success stories and failures (as failures teach a lot) about what worked and didn't work in different places and types of conflict around the world. Right now, we do not have funds for translation, so we must ask that submissions be in English. We are seeking translation money, however, and hope to be able to incorporate essays in other languages in the future. We also hope to obtain funds to translate what is here already into other languages.
